Senior In-House Legal Counsel | Major Energy Infrastructure Projects
Prominent International Renewable Energy Company
Sydney Based
This is a fantastic opportunity for any lawyer considering a move in/to Sydney to join the NSW operations of a leading international renewable energy company that operates in over 40 countries. Guided by core values that emphasise a strong commitment to clients and employees, as well as excellence in environmental management, this organisation offers an exciting career path.

As the Senior In-House Counsel reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering legal services on major infrastructure and renewable energy projects. Your role will include:
Drafting and negotiating contracts for pipelines and associated infrastructure, advising on pipeline tenure and statutory rights, procurement contract negotiation, and general corporate advisory.
Overseeing project development and financing.
Assessing organisational risks and implementing effective risk management programs.
Providing strategies for contract management, claims, and dispute resolution.
You should be proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work independently, make well-informed decisions, and influence others with clarity and logic.

In this dynamic legal team, you will leverage your technical legal skills and commercial insight to contribute significantly to the organisation’s success.

Candidates should have at least 10 years of recent post-admission experience in front-end renewable energy, resources, or infrastructure projects, preferably in a similar in-house role or at a top or mid-tier firm.

Applicants must be admitted solicitors in any Australian jurisdiction, possess a current unrestricted practising certificate, and be either an Australian citizen or have the right to work in Australia.
